Investment Sales

Porthaven Partners has completed in excess of $2.5 billion in commercial real estate transactions across the United States. Services provided to a variety of industry participants including institutional investors, private equity firms, developers, private individuals, REITs and corporations include the following:

Management and Leasing

Porthaven’s Property Management and Leasing division specializes in commercial office, retail, and industrial properties. With over 300,000 SF of commercial property in Kansas, Oklahoma, and Texas, Porthaven’s clients range from publicly traded REIT’s to financial institutions to individual property owners. Porthaven Property Management’s goal is to provide the highest level of professionalism and stewardship.


Bank Consulting/Advisory

Porthaven Partners brings a unique blend of analytical and transactional expertise. With over $2.5 billion in transactional experience combined with backgrounds in audit, consulting, and finance, Porthaven’s Advisory division provides valuable insight to financial institutions and commercial real estate owners throughout the United States. In collaboration with various experts throughout the industry, the Porthaven Advisory division has developed a Property Evaluation product that provides financial institutions with high quality analytics covering all types of commercial real estate. These reports have been instrumental in helping our clients make decisions in a timely and cost-effective manner.


Darren Sides – Partner


Mr. Sides is a founding partner of Porthaven Partners, and has been instrumental in working for over a decade with a wide range of clients including developers, financial institutions, publicly-traded REITs and private equity investors to develop strategies for optimizing commercial real estate development, ownership and disposition. Under his leadership, Mr. Sides has led teams in the completion of over $2.0 billion in commercial real estate transactions including industrial, office and retail properties.

Prior to Mr. Sides’ entry into commercial real estate, he spent approximately five years with PricewaterhouseCoopers, serving a variety of clients in developing optimum business turnaround strategies and determining underlying values of assets and credit exposure levels.

Mr. Sides holds his B.S. in Accounting from Louisiana State University.

Jon Clark – Senior Associate


Mr. Clark is actively involved in Porthaven’s bank consulting, investment sales, national research, financial analysis, local leasing & sales, and commercial property management service offerings. Thus far, Mr. Clark has been instrumental in identifying market values for over 200 commercial properties in various Oklahoma and Texas markets, and is also responsible for lead generation and development used to support investment sales operations.

Mr. Clark was initially established as an Intern at Porthaven Partners in May of 2012 while fulfilling requirements in the MBA program at Oral Roberts University, and then transitioned to the role of Analyst in January, 2013. He has since completed the MBA with a concentration in Finance from ORU, and is a licensed Real Estate Sales Associate in the State of Oklahoma.

Amy Carey – Accountant


Amy Carey has been a key member of Porthaven Partners dating back to 2010. She currently serves within the Property Management division as an Accountant, relating with owners, tenants and vendors. In this role, Amy is responsible for all financial reporting matters as well as identifying opportunities for improved efficiency and asset management.

Prior to Amy’s tenure with Porthaven, she served in various capacities within the real estate and investment brokerage industries, including as a licensed securities broker with Merrill Lynch. Amy has volunteered her time and talents extensively, including as an officer for Jenks Public Schools PTA. Amy holds a Bachelor’s Degree from The University of Arkansas.

Ryan S. Carter – Partner


Mr. Carter is a founding partner of Porthaven Partners, with a primary focus on advising clients through the acquisition, financing, and disposition of investment properties throughout the United States. Dating back to 2002, Mr. Carter’s clients include public and private REIT’s, developers, financial institutions, and high net worth individuals. In addition to investment sales, Mr. Carter has provided leadership to the asset management, and consulting services divisions, serving private owners, REITs, and financial institutions.

Mr. Carter began his career as an auditor for KPMG. In this capacity, he served middle-market and large cap publicly traded clients within the manufacturing and oil & gas sectors. Prior to his entry into commercial real estate, Mr. Carter was fortunate to have the opportunity to serve his home church as business administrator leading into the development of a 36-acre; 300,000+ SF facility.

Mr. Carter earned his B.S.B.A. in Accounting from The University of Tulsa, his M.B.A. from Oklahoma State University, and holds a C.P.A. designation (inactive) within the State of Oklahoma.

Jared Jones, CCIM – Director


Mr. Jones is a director of Porthaven Partners, assisting a wide range of clients in the leasing, acquisition and disposition of commercial real estate and investment properties, with a keen emphasis in the self storage asset class. His past clients include high net worth individuals, developers, financial institutions, private REITs and publicly traded companies.

Mr. Jones was formerly an Associate with a well-established, Tulsa focused commercial real estate firm before joining Porthaven Partners, with an emphasis on providing sales and leasing services to local and national clients.

Mr. Jones earned the Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) designation in 2010, and is actively involved as a board member in the Oklahoma CCIM Chapter. He is also the founding member and past President of the Oklahoma Self Storage Association.

Mr. Jones holds his B.B.A. in Marketing and M.B.A. from Pittsburg State University.

Braxton Bates – Analyst


Mr. Bates is an Analyst for Porthaven Partners, assisting the firm’s producers in many facets including investment sales support, accounting and finance for the property management division, and leasing. Mr. Bates was initially established as an intern at Porthaven Partners in January of 2016 while finishing his final semester at Oral Roberts University before transitioning into the Analyst role in June, 2016. As an intern, Mr. Bates provided support in the Investment Sales division which included lead generation and market research on a national scale.

Mr. Bates holds his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Entrepreneurship from Oral Roberts University and is a licensed Real Estate Sales Associate in the State of Oklahoma.
