Darren is the founding partner of Porthaven Partners, and has been instrumental in working for over two decades with a wide range of clients including developers, financial institutions, publicly-traded REITs and private equity investors to develop strategies for optimizing commercial real estate development, ownership and disposition. Under his leadership, Mr. Sides has led teams in the completion of over $5 billion in commercial real estate transactions including industrial, office and retail properties.
Prior to Mr. Sides’ entry into commercial real estate, he spent approximately five years with PricewaterhouseCoopers, serving a variety of clients in developing optimum business turnaround strategies and determining underlying values of assets and credit exposure levels.
Mr. Sides holds his B.S. in Accounting from Louisiana State University.
Kenneth is a managing director at Porthaven and runs the property management and bank consulting divisions of Porthaven. In addition, Kenneth works with investment sales team to source and evaluation new opportunities.

Kenneth still enjoys playing tennis and competing in other sports with friends.

While at Stan Johnson Company, he played a leadership role in expanding the firm’s national platform, including opening five offices across the U.S. beginning in 2009. He later continued his institutional advisory work at Northmarq.

Mr. Ziegenhorn began his career in commercial real estate directly out of college starting with Marcus & Millichap in their Tulsa office before transitioning into his current role. Zack enjoys spending time with friends and family, playing golf, and loves sooner football. He is also a member of the Sigma Chi Fraternity.
Mr. Ziegenhorn earned his B.A. in Communication from the University of Oklahoma in 2017 after spending one year playing college baseball at Seminole State College.

Matt advises investors, developers, and operators on asset positioning, capital strategy, and transaction execution, with an emphasis on disciplined underwriting, buyer behavior, and market-driven pricing. Over his career, Matt has advised on hundreds of investment transactions across primary and secondary markets nationwide. His approach is consultative and relationship-based, helping clients optimize outcomes at both the asset and portfolio level across market cycles.
Prior to joining Porthaven Partners, Matt served for over a decade as an Associate Vice President at Stan Johnson Company and later at Northmarq following its acquisition of Stan Johnson. Matt is also a licensed attorney and previously practiced real estate law with a focus on commercial real estate finance, bringing a legal and capital-structure perspective to complex transactions.
